COMMUNITY GRASSROOTS WORK
In 2018, our team collaborated with Mixed Blood Theatre in order to host a school supply drive in the Cedar-Riverside community. There were free school supplies offered to students and families as well as free food. This event also served as the official Qalanjo Project community launch and helped kick off our work.
In 2019, we hosted a brandU professional development workshop in partnership with Students for the Horn of Africa and the Al-Madinah Cultural Center. This workshop introduced young students to how to brand themselves professionally, make network connections, and overall learn more about professional development from our team.
